We are proud to present the world-renowned photographer and filmmaker, Mattias Klum, as the inspiration and special lecturer for this incredible journey to Svalbard.

As the ice releases its grip on the islands, we have the opportunity to venture further east into the archipelago. On land, we can embark on stunning hikes surrounded by breathtaking scenery. This is when Svalbard’s magnificent geology is most visible, creating a dramatic contrast against the glaciers. Whales are often seen in the water, and if you wish to encounter some of the true giants, such as the humpback whale and the impressive blue whale, you have a good chance now. It is also a great time to see walrus colonies.

At the beginning of the trip, we will experience the last magical days of the midnight sun. By the end of August, the sun starts to approach the horizon, offering warm photo lighting and magnificent sunsets.
