Filming in Potsdam with Johan Rockström

September 23, 2025

Mattias Klum is in Potsdam, just outside Berlin, working with his close friend and long-time collaborator Professor Johan Rockström at the esteemed Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research (PIK).

Together, they’re spending the day filming with the award-winning team from Silverback / OpenPlanet, capturing new material for their upcoming book — a project that delves into the vital connections between climate, biodiversity, and the future of our planet.

“It’s an intense, inspiring, and deeply rewarding day,” Mattias shares. The collaboration brings together science, storytelling and art in a way that reflects both his and Johan’s commitment to planetary stewardship.

More to come soon from this exciting and timely project.
