Mattias Klum Authors the 2026 Archbishop’s Lenten Book

January 9, 2026

Mattias Klum is the author of the 2026 edition of the Archbishop’s Lenten book, Stigminnen. Published by Verbum, the book invites readers into reflection through a unique blend of words and images.

“In a time of global challenges, staying close to nature and present in the moment feels more important than ever,” says Klum.

Archbishop Martin Modéus comments: “Mattias Klum’s ability to tell stories with both text and image is deeply moving. I believe this year’s book will inspire many.”

Stigminnen is part of an annual tradition and will be released ahead of Lent, which begins on February 18. For each copy sold, 10 SEK is donated to Act Svenska kyrkan.

A conversation between Archbishop Modéus and Mattias Klum will be broadcast on Swedish Radio P1 on March 8.
