September 24, 2025

On Wednesday, September 24, 2025, Mattias Klum will participate in an exclusive event during New York Climate Week and the 80th UN General Assembly. Hosted at the Swedish Residence in NYC, the session gathers world-leading voices to preview a landmark report from the Global Commission on Sustainable Food Systems.

Distinguished scientists Prof. Johan Rockström (Commission Co-Chair), Jessica Fanzo (Commissioner), and Prof. Mario Herrero (Commission Modelling Lead) will share key insights from the upcoming Commission report. The gathering will then transition to a private dialogue on how to enable a just transformation to healthy diets from sustainable food systems.

As part of the evening, Mattias Klum will offer a short talk and visual presentation on the importance of resilient systems and pathways forward in the face of global environmental challenges.

The session, convened in collaboration with EAT, will help frame the critical intersections between climate, biodiversity, and human health—leading up to the official international launch of the report at the 7th Stockholm Food Forum (co-hosted by EAT and the Government of Sweden) and COP30 in Belém, Brazil.
