Mattias Klum Highlights the Plight of Rainforests in WWF Video

February 6, 2024

In a powerful new video by the World Wildlife Fund (WWF), renowned photographer and WWF ambassador Mattias Klum shares his deep connection with the rainforests since his first visit to Borneo at the age of 20. Through his lens, Klum has captured the essence of the world’s rainforests and the diverse species that call them home. However, he expresses serious concerns about deforestation and the rapid loss of endangered species.

The video emphasizes that saving the rainforest is possible through bold political decisions, sustainable agricultural practices, and significant conservation efforts. Klum supports WWF’s mission as a sponsor and encourages others to join by becoming a Rainforest Guardian, contributing to tree planting efforts for the rainforest’s preservation.
